Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Shropshire based.
Salary: £50,000+ per annum, negotiable depending on experience + Company Car Option + Benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 41.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on diverse and complex projects within a commercially focused, collaborative environment?
We’re seeking a driven professional with a strong understanding of contracts, cost management, and negotiation to help deliver projects efficiently from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities
• Full project cost management and monthly reporting
• Review, evaluate, and submit Compensation Events and Variations
• Administer subcontracts and manage interim and final account settlements
• Deliver accurate CVRs and ensure robust financial performance monitoring
• Maintain strong commercial relationships with subcontractors and clients
• Monitor project cash flow and oversee payment applications and claims
• Provide risk analysis and maintain up-to-date risk registers
• Liaise with internal teams and attend site, commercial, and progress meetings
• Support project strategy, programming, and documentation accuracy
• Promote best practice and continuous improvement across commercial functions
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a QS/Senior QS role
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
• Excellent financial acumen and negotiation skills
• Confident user of Excel, Word, and QS software
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure
• Able to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
• Experience in multi-site or national construction environments is advantageous
Qualifications:
• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• CSCS cardholder
• Full UK driving licence (essential for site travel)
