The successful candidate will:
* Be experienced working with residents living with dementia
* Have a genuine interest in residents
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
* Work effectively as part of the Activities Team
* Motivate people to participate
* Have good organisational and time management skills
* Build self-esteem and keep up-to-date with activities
Role and responsibilities include:
* Organising and coordinating individual and group activities, including themed events
* Booking external entertainers
* Organising trips considering transport and accessibility
* Planning varied activities to enhance residents’ quality of life
* Maintaining records of participation and resident needs
* Maintaining a portfolio of activities available locally and within the home
* Participating in fundraising events
General duties:
* Attending staff meetings
* Completing mandatory and developmental training
* Communicating effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and agencies
* Practicing safe working practices
