Duties of the Finance Manager: We are looking for aFinance Controllerto work with our clients manufacturing facilities in the UK. As a controller, you will report directly to the management, and liaise closely with the Group Financial Controller and UK auditor(s), consultant and payroll team. This position involves important tasks such as preparing the various monthly reports, preparing the year-end closing and preparing the file for the audit. You will also be involved in preparing and analysing financial reports. Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submission to HMRC
Prepare and post journal entries as required
Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports
Ensure all balance sheet items are reconciled on a timely basis
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Oversee inventory valuation and stock control processes
Liaise with external accountants to assist with preparation of year end accounts
Setting and monitoring energy contracts
Collating National Statistics Surveys
Reporting imports and exports financial information
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
Additional Information of the Finance Manager: Monday to Friday
Up to £45,000 Per Annum.
35 Hours (Office Hours)
Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience with ERP systems
Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational and time management skills
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (preferably in manufacturing)
