Pure Electric is building a premium global brand in electric mobility, having sold 350,000 products across 17 countries.
This is a rare opportunity to join a founder‑led business, headed by Adam Norris, who helped take Hargreaves Lansdown to IPO and guided his son to an F1 World
Championship in building a company with ambition, scale, and meaningful impact.
We are looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to act as a strategic partner to the founder and help scale the business globally, with a long‑term path to IPO.
We have serious ambition - over the next 5 years, the business will be an engineering‑led premium hardware company. Think more product centric and engineering‑led than SaaS.
The Role:
Key responsibilities include:
Lead capital raising and investor relationships
Shape the growth strategy and capital allocation, partnering closely with the Founder and Board
Build a world‑class, scalable finance function and embed a culture of financial credibility and discipline through the business
Drive performance across margin, inventory, cash and working capital
Partner closely with our product, engineering and commercial teams – demonstrating cross functional influence and leadership
This is a strategic role with a strong hands‑on component. You’ll own the strategy and roll your sleeves up to deliver it
What We’re Looking For:
This is a key hire for us, and we’re looking for someone who:
Experience leading a venture‑backed company as CFO from Series A/B through to IPO or acquisition is preferred
We are open to a first‑time CFO, provided the candidate can demonstrate the necessary senior level capability
A combination of experience in entrepreneurship, investment banking or consultancy together with operational experience is preferred
An engineering degree is strongly preferred, or meaningful experience in a high‑quality physical‑product company
Proven track record operating at a senior leadership level
Is ambitious, hard‑working and a credible, inspiring enterprise‑level leader – this role has the potential to grow into a broader leadership position
This is not a traditional CFO role; the ideal candidate will be:
Strong in capital markets and fundraising
Commercial and strategically minded – you’ll set the direction and deliver the outcome. This role is key to ensuring we achieve our growth ambition whilst
ensuring our day‑to‑day finance operations continue to deliver at a high level
An exceptional communicator, credible with investors, boards and can demonstrate strong inspiring leadership at enterprise level
Curious about product, manufacturing and hardware economics
Package:
Competitive salary
Meaningful equity upside
