Role: Front-End Developer
Rate: £500-£550 p/d Inside IR35
Duration - 12 months
Location: Hybrid 2-3 days per week in Corsham
Live SC clearance essential
Requirements: Seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support the delivery of a public facing government website, aligned to GDS and Gov.UK service standards. The role focuses on building accessible and maintainable user interfaces for content-led digital services.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team, collaborating closely with content designers, content writers, back-end developers, service owners, and delivery leads to deliver high quality outcomes for the end users.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain front-end components for a public-sector digital service
* Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces aligned to GDS
* Translate designs and prototypes into high-quality, performant front-end code
* Work closely with content designers and writers to support content-led journeys
* Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services
* Ensure solutions align with GDS and GOV.UK standards, supporting iterative delivery
* Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong front-end development experience using modern frameworks/libraries, particularly React
* Proven experience designing and building front-end user interfaces for digital services
* Strong experience using Figma to interpret designs, prototypes, and design systems
* Solid understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles
* Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams
* Strong JavaScript/React skills, with an emphasis on maintainable, reusable code
