Job Introduction

Handelsbanken is a local relationship bank that provides bespoke, customer‑led banking and wealth management services for personal and corporate customers. Branch teams build trusted, long‑term relationships with customers in their local communities, making decisions locally without short‑term sales targets.


Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Banking Manager to join our Branch in Bournemouth on a part‑time basis working 21 hours per week, ideally Wednesday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities

* Preparation of facility letters and other account documentation.
* Completion of all documentary requirements for lending facilities from credit approval through to drawdown, including liaising with lawyers and valuers and ensuring all conditions precedent and conditions of sanction are satisfied before drawdown.
* Ongoing and annual account reviews to ensure compliance with the Banks documentation and other requirements.
* Account administration of new and existing customers, providing excellent customer service and significant direct customer contact.
* Liaison with internal departments and external counterparties to ensure high levels of customer service and good administrative order.
* Support of marketing initiatives, assisting the branch in building positive and lasting relationships with local professionals while undertaking daily responsibilities.


What we’re looking for

* Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively.
* Strong team player, flexible, proactive, conscientious, and capable of working under pressure with integrity and discretion.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation, with high levels of accuracy.
* Experience in dealing with lending documentation, security, and AML/KYC procedures for both personal and business transactions is advantageous.
* High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel) is essential. Training will be provided on additional internal IT systems.
