Hours: 37 hours
Salary: Will Be Dependent Upon Experience
Band 5: £31,892 - £39,735
Band 6: £39,912 - £48,635
This post is open to applications for Band 5 developing into Band 6 or for Band 6. Newly qualifying candidates will also be considered.
An exciting development opportunity has arisen to join the Integrated Community Assessment Team based within the Victoria Integrated Care Centre in Helensburgh, covering the Helensburgh and Lomond area.
The applicant should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist, preferably with experience across hospital and community settings.
The successful applicant will be responsible for occupational therapy assessment and intervention to prevent hospital admissions and facilitate safe and timely discharges from various acute settings.
You will work towards providing a high-quality, person-centred service that is timely and responsive to needs, whilst prioritising a complex caseload and delegating work to support staff. You will develop skills in moving and handling assessment and rehabilitation, as well as rapid response to prevent hospital admission. You will work closely with Extended Community Care and Reablement Services and provide cover as required.
The post holder will work alongside all health and social care agencies within the community and report directly to the ICAT Lead, with professional support from the OT Team Lead. The service supports CPD, and you will be part of a supportive Occupational Therapy team, with expectations to work towards supervising junior staff.
Good IT skills, strict adherence to patient confidentiality, a full current driving licence, and appropriate insurance are essential. Registration with HCPC and a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy are required.
