Interim Communications Lead - Travel to Belfast
Rate: £38.98 per hour (via Umbrella)
Location: Broughton/Belfast (onsite hybrid)
Contract: 6 months (with potential for extension)
About the Role
A leading aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Communications Lead to support a major business acquisition and integration programme in Belfast. This is a key role responsible for managing internal, external, and community communications during a period of change, helping to bring a new company into the wider organisation.
You'll work closely with project teams, senior leaders, and communications colleagues to develop and deliver a cohesive communications strategy that engages employees, informs stakeholders, and reflects the organisation's values and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver a communications plan to support business transformation and integration.
* Establish and maintain effective internal communication channels.
* Manage external communications, including media relations and stakeholder engagement.
* Coordinate with UK and international communications teams to ensure consistent messaging.
* Support community engagement and corporate events in Northern Ireland.
* Create and edit high-quality content, including press releases, briefings, and leadership updates.
What You'll Need:
* Strong experience in corporate or internal communications, ideally within a transformation, integration, or M&A environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels.
* Good understanding of the Northern Ireland media and community landscape.
* Experience managing communications across multiple channels and audiences.
* Organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
