Responsibilities of a Year 5/6 Teacher
1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and creating a positive learning environment.
2. Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum, focusing on individual learning targets, strengths, and areas for improvement.
3. Develop maths skills, including fractions, statistics, and geometry.
4. Support children’s writing development through creative activities like storytelling.
5. Track children’s progress and communicate with parents as needed.
Year 5/6 Teacher Requirements
1. QTS, PGCE, and a strong academic record.
2. Creative, imaginative, resourceful, adaptable, and determined.
3. Passionate about learning.
4. Proven success in a Year 5 environment.
5. Excellent communication skills with children and parents.
6. Demonstrated outstanding classroom practice.
