University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Fracture Liaison Service team at Weston General Hospital.
This is a full-time Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role however, we would consider two part-time opportunities.
The post holder will work as an integral member of the Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) team within University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will provide specialist clinical advice and support to patients and their carers, in both in-patient and out-patient settings. The post holder will work across sites at both Weston and Bristol.
This role is open to both NMC-registered professionals and Allied Health Professionals
The post holder will provide advice, support and information to patients who present with a fragility fracture, utilising skills relating to clinical expertise, education and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. They will also work closely with the multidisciplinary team in Primary and Secondary Care to ensure a coordinated, quality service and will be actively involved in education, audit and research. The post holder will undertake audits for continuous improvement. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a co-ordinated quality service and will be actively involved in education and audit. The post holder will engage and lead discussions within multidisciplinary team and with other teams involved in patient care. The post holder will be supported with training that is relevant to the role. This is an exciting opportunity set up a service at Weston General Hospital, with the support of the Fracture Liaison Team at the Bristol site - providing much needed support to patients as well as helping to shape future service development opportunities.
