Estimator - Door Systems Division

£52,000 basic salary + 4% annual bonus (OTE £55,000)
Monday to Friday | 8am - 5pm
An award-winning and rapidly growing facilities management business is expanding its Specialist Door Systems Division and is now looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support continued growth and new contract wins.
This is a key commercial role within a technically strong division covering automatic doors, industrial doors, shutters, gates, barriers and loading bay equipment. You'll be joining a business with ambitious plans, a strong internal culture, and a genuine commitment to career development.
The Role
As Estimator, you'll play a central role in the Secure Door Systems team, producing accurate, timely and commercially sound quotations for a mix of planned works, reactive repairs and small project installations.
You'll work closely with engineers, scheduling teams, customers and management to ensure all quotations align with technical requirements, operational capability and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for automatic doors, shutters, industrial doors, gates, barriers and associated works
Review engineer reports, surveys and technical drawings to produce clear, competitive and profitable quotes
Act as a key point of contact for engineers, customers and internal stakeholders throughout the quotation process
Ensure quotations reflect lead times, materials availability and operational constraints
Support management with weekly and monthly estimating and conversion reporting
Continuously review and improve estimating processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency and customer experience
Experience & Requirements
Essential industry experience within automatic doors, industrial doors, shutters or gates
Strong technical understanding with the ability to interpret engineer reports and drawings
Commercially aware with a methodical, detail-driven approach
Confident using estimating, job management or scheduling systems
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Full UK driving licence (site visits required occasionally)
This role would suit an Estimator, Technical Administrator, Coordinator or experienced Engineer looking to move into a more commercially focused position.
