Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Neurosurgery
Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
Fixed Term: 12 months | Full time (40hrs)
We are excited to offer an opportunity for someone to join our busy Paediatric Neurosurgery team for a 12 month period, aimed at neurosurgery trainees at the equivalent of senior registrar level with an interest in paediatric neurosurgery.
Although this is not a 'training post' and does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean, you will have access to the same teaching and training opportunities as other posts.
Main duties of the job
You will report to the Paediatric Neurosurgery Clinical Lead and work flexibly to meet the demands of a busy tertiary unit. Collaborating with the Specialist Registrar, you will provide on-call cover for the Children's Hospital during the day and participate in the teaching of students and allied professionals.
You will be free to attend Neurosurgery Lists not timetabled if cases of interest arise, and the teaching hospital environment provides excellent opportunities for research.
