It’s an exciting time to join AXA UK’s Risk & Compliance team as the technical subject matter expert for reserving. You’ll lead the delivery of the Actuarial Function’s independent opinion on IFRS17 and Solvency UK reserves, and the 2nd line oversight of reserving and claims indemnity risks, supporting AXA Insurance in making key business decisions to achieve financial targets.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Lead the independent calculation of IFRS17 reserves across Retail and Commercial lines of business.
2. Keep up to date with changes in the internal and external environment impacting reserves.
3. Lead the 2nd line oversight of reserving and claims indemnity risks.
4. Liaise with senior stakeholders including representing the Actuarial Function at Committees relating to claims and reserving.
5. Produce the reserving reports for the Executive Committees and Board and contribute to the annual Actuarial Function report, the ORSA and SFCR.
6. Ensure compliance with AXA Group and AXA Insurance Reserving policies.
7. Motivate and develop team members by providing ongoing support and development.

What we’re looking for:
8. Qualified actuary with post-qualification experience, or equivalent.
9. Significant reserving experience in general insurance.
10. Experience of risk management desirable.
11. Experience of managing key stakeholders and leading a team.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to interact with Executives, senior management, and regulators.
13. Substantial industry knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework.
14. Analytical problem solving skills.
