About the Role
We are seeking an experienced UK Based Mid-Level Shopify Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for building complex, high-performance features and maintaining site health for client projects. This role requires strong technical skill, an eye for detail, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Core ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise
* Build and maintain bespoke Shopify themes using Liquid, Tailwind, and modern JavaScript
* Ability to build standard Product List Page (PLP) and Product Detail Page (PDP) features that are pixel-perfect representations of provided designs (e.g., Figma files using Pixelay).
* Writing clean, optimised code that actively contributes to and maintains Green CWV scores
* At least 3 years of agency experience working with Shopify
Process & Quality Assurance
* Tracing and resolving bugs independently, from the visible UI issues back to the specific Liquid or app source code.
* Accurately estimating the time needed for features
* Actively reviewing code from developers, ensuring logic is sound and catching syntax or other technical errors.
* Manage your code using a structured Git strategy
Communication & Documentation
* Performing Demos and Feature showcases for clients and internal teams.
* Creating clear, user-friendly guides for merchants and internal teams to operate and manage new features.
Bonus Skills
* Experience scaffolding a Shopify App using Remix and building frontend routes (e.g., using App Proxies).
* Ability to build functional Checkout Extensions that successfully read and interact with Cart Attributes or Line Items.
* Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines for minor theme deployments
* Experience with the Shopify CLI and local development environments
Role Requirements
* From time to time, you may be asked to attend client meetings and industry events here in the UK and overseas, blubolt will cover your expenses in these instances
* You can operate in a highly autonomous and accountable environment and thrive
* We operate a hybrid attendance model, but you are expected to be in our office in person as and when required, at your own expense
* You must have the right to work in the UK
