Senior Vehicle Technician
1. Location: Croydon, Surrey
2. OTE (On-Target Earnings): £50,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a dynamic and well-established automotive workshop team. In this role, you will provide expert technical advice, mentor junior technicians, and assist in troubleshooting complex vehicle issues to ensure top-quality service. The Ideal Senior Technician is a professional, confident, and capable mechanic who takes pride in delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities as a Senior Technician:
3. Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
4. Offer technical guidance and support to other technicians, helping to resolve challenging issues promptly.
5. Maintain high standards of work and ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications.
6. Contribute to team development by sharing expertise and best practices.
7. Record all work accurately and complete documentation in accordance with company procedures.
8. Keep current with the latest diagnostic tools and technical developments, especially regarding dealer diagnostics, with an openness to working across multiple brands including BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes, and more.
9. Support the upcoming development of a new workshop
Senior Technician Requirements:
10. Proven experience as a Master Technician, Technician, or LCV Technician.
11. Strong diagnostic skills and experience working with dealer-level diagnostics.
12. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
13. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
14. Flexible to work across multiple vehicle brands, including luxury and commercial vehicles.
15. Valid qualifications in vehicle technology and relevant industry certifications.
Working Hours:
16. Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, with two breaks and a 30-minute lunch break
17. Saturdays: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (rotational)
Salary & Benefits:
18. Basic salary starting at £45,000, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
19. Potential for earnings up to £50,000+ including bonuses
20. Bonus structure based on team performance and individual achievements
21. Monthly team bonus averaging around £100-£250
