Join a leading civil engineering contractor at the forefront of the UK's water industry, delivering critical upgrades within the Severn Trent Water framework. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to innovation, we're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to take ownership of QA processes, testing, and site engineering leadership on a major water/wastewater project.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage quality assurance (QA) procedures, ensuring all works meet design and client specifications.
* Direct and mentor site engineers, providing clear technical leadership and ensuring consistent performance across the team.
* Take full responsibility for materials testing and verification, overseeing ITPs and ensuring accurate documentation.
* Liaise with the design team to resolve technical queries, review drawings, and implement buildable, cost-effective solutions.
* Oversee survey control, as-built records, and maintain robust QA documentation.
* Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team to coordinate daily operations and progress reporting.
* Champion HSEQ standards and promote best practice throughout the delivery phase.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or experienced Site Engineer within the water/wastewater sector - essential.
* Strong understanding of QA systems, materials testing, and design coordination.
* Proficient in modern surveying tools and software (AutoCAD, Trimble, Leica, GPS).
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop junior engineers.
* CSCS essential; SMSTS and First Aid desirable.
* Full UK driving licence required.
