A lively Surrey primary is looking for an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to lead its Early Years class from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will create a language-rich indoor and outdoor environment, implement systematic phonics and deliver playful, purposeful mathematics that builds firm foundations. The Reception Teacher will be involved in planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026. • Reception Teacher - Full-Time vacancy with a January 2026 start. • Reception Teacher to join a nurturing Surrey primary - pre-term planning and induction begin January 2026. • Reception Teacher will be supported by an experienced Early Years team and access targeted CPD from January 2026. Reception Teacher Responsibilities The Reception Teacher will: lead daily phonics and shared reading sessions as the Reception Teacher; plan and manage continuous provision both inside and outside as the Reception Teacher; assess learning against the Early Learning Goals and communicate progress to families as the Reception Teacher; prepare transition work for Year 1 as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will take part in moderation and planning cycles starting in January 2026. Reception Teacher Requirements We are seeking a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), secure EYFS knowledge and confident phonics delivery. The Reception Teacher should be organised, reflective and skilled at engaging parents.
