About the Accounts & Finance Team:
We are the guardians of our club’s financial health, ensuring that every penny is accounted for and strategically invested to support our mission. Our team thrives on accuracy, transparency, and insightful financial planning. Our commitment to collaboration extends beyond numbers; we partner with other teams to ensure financial sustainability while enhancing member experiences.
Responsibilities
* Support various accounting functions, including completing monthly bank reconciliations (including currency accounts).
* Assist with management accounts and month-end processes.
* Prepare and reconcile daily and monthly ticketing reports.
* Prepare and enter journal entries; liaise with the Payroll Department for salary deductions and P11d reports.
* Produce debtor reports to follow up on late payments.
* Handle player-related bank payments and conduct monthly currency revaluations.
* Manage player on-loan invoicing and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
Qualifications
* Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently; strong prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage 200.
* Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., SeatGeek) is advantageous.
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
* AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient with a proactive approach.
Other requirements
* The role requires obtaining a Basic DBS through SAFC.
