About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £30 million cut-and-carve redevelopment scheme in Oxford. This is a high-profile project involving a retained façade and significant heritage works, requiring a strong understanding of complex structural interventions, conservation principles, and stakeholder management.
You will take ownership of the project from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while respecting the historic fabric of the building.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the full project lifecycle of a £30m cut-and-carve scheme
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, heritage consultants, and contractors
* Oversee façade retention strategy and temporary works design/implementation
* Ensure all works comply with heritage and conservation requirements, including liaison with local authorities and conservation officers
* Manage programme, cost control, and risk mitigation strategies
* Chair project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
* Monitor health & safety compliance and ensure best practices are upheld on site
* Drive quality assurance across all phases of the build
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering complex refurbishment, cut-and-carve, or heritage-led developments
* Strong knowledge of façade retention techniques and structural sequencing
* Experience working on listed buildings or within conservation areas
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Commercial awareness and experience managing large project budgets (£20m+)
* Relevant construction qualification (e.g., degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar)
* Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM) desirable
