Logistics Services Assistant

Grade - Band 2
Hours – 12 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday)
Salary – £24,465 pro rata

Ensure collection and delivery of goods, food, waste including clinical waste throughout the Trust is removed and disposed of following strict policy and standard operating practices over the 24/7 period Our team is responsible for replacing medical gas cylinders removing the empty ones in various areas of the Trust and ensuring safe transportation and storage procedures are followed We have daily Pharmacy, Pathology and various other stock/top up and collection runs to perform during the course of the working day, which may include handling blood and other sample products in sealed containers There may be a requirement to support the offsite Logistics teams in delivering and collecting from GP's and clinics in the local area. To aid this it is essential that you hold a current UK driving licence and would be advantageous if you had a driver Certificate of Professional Competence, and category C1 If successful at the shortlist stage you will be required as part of the interview process to take part in a practical assessment, short reading and writing test to assess your ability to read and retain information given to you The successful candidate will also need to undertake a driving assessment. You should also note that any offer of employment will be subject to the Trust terms and conditions along with the satisfactory completion of a driving assessment and you must complete a satisfactory driving assessment each year to retain your employment in this role
