Depot Manager – Equipment Hire

We’re looking for a hands-on Depot Manager to take full responsibility for a busy container hire depot in Bathgate.
This is a role for someone who knows how to run a tight operation keeping stock moving, standards high, and the team accountable.
The Role
You’ll be running the day-to-day depot operation, managing a small team and making sure everything runs efficiently and safely.
Key responsibilities:
* Managing the inbound and outbound flow of containers
* Overseeing repairs, maintenance, and cleaning standards
* Stock control knowing what’s in the yard and what’s going out
* Supporting and driving sales activity from the depot
* Leading and developing a small, hands-on team
* Ensuring health & safety standards are met at all times
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Depot Manager (or similar) within hire, logistics, or industrial environments
* Strong operational mindset organised, structured, and proactive
* Comfortable being hands-on this isn’t a desk-only role
* Solid understanding of health & safety (non-negotiable)
* Confident managing people and holding standards
