Overview
To work as part of the pharmacy team in providing an efficient, effective and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and customers including dispensing and stock top up to wards, departments and other outlying units where appropriate.
Role
We are looking for a dedicated, organised and motivated person to join us as a Rotational Pharmacy Assistant. You will rotate through the Aseptic Suite, Dispensary, Ward services and Stores sections gaining experience and undertaking additional training if required.
Responsibilities
You must be willing to learn and take responsibility, working well within a diverse team consisting of Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Pharmacists, Nurses and Clerical staff. You will also be expected to develop good working relationships with other departments within the Pharmacy and Hospital.
You will work closely with the rest of the pharmacy team to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust, whether in a dispensary or ward based aspect.

* Flexible and able to work well in an environment of change and transition.
* Good computer skills and ability to work well under pressure.
* Physically fit as parts of the job are physically demanding.
