As part of the CHCP CIC Urgent Care Strategy and our commitment to providing an enhanced, high-quality Unscheduled/Out of Hours care service, we are recruiting Out of Hours Doctors to join our multidisciplinary team.
Position Overview: The post holder will be a fully qualified and experienced General Practitioner working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver out-of-hours services for residents of Hull and East Riding. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of clinical care, conducting clinical assessments, telephone triage, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
Qualifications: Full GMC registration, Professional Medical qualification, Certificate of Prescribed or equivalent experience (JCTGP), and/or Certificate of Completion of Training. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential. Medical indemnity will be provided for all contracted bank staff (excluding Provider to Provider contracts).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the development of the Out of Hours Service with medical input.
2. Contribute to the dissemination of best practices.
3. Collaborate with emergency and community health services, including Emergency Care Practitioners, 999 services, A&E, District Nurses, Palliative Care/MacMillan Nurses, and others.
4. Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
5. Undertake telephone triage, conduct consultations, and perform home visits.
6. Ensure accurate documentation of consultations and treatments, with appropriate patient communication.
7. Promote joint working across secondary, primary, community, and emergency services.
8. Participate in service audits and work closely with the Clinical Advisor.
9. Provide flexible clinical support across Hull and East Riding and cover other Primary Care Centres as required.
10. Adhere to CHCP Clinical Governance Standards and policies.
11. Attend relevant meetings and participate in training and appraisals.
12. Support and lead less experienced staff and act as shift lead when needed.
