Equine Veterinary Surgeon - Maternity Cover Kingston Equine Vets, Shave Hill, Buckhorn Weston, Dorset Salary up to £65,000 FTE pro-rata We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Kingston Equine Vets on the Dorset/Somerset border We are based in a beautiful area with easy access to the coast and the rest of the South West as well as neighbouring Bristol, Bath and a London train line on the doorstep. We are looking for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join us on a fixed-term contract (to cover maternity leave) from June 2024 (with the possibility of a permanent role at the end). The role would suit an equine vet looking for a full-time or part-time position where you will be required to be on call covering out-of-hours on weekends and bank holidays on a 1 in 6 rota basis. We are a 4-vet practice offering ambulatory services for a mixed population of competition and leisure horses with use of wonderful clinic facilities including stables, stocks, and surgical facilities. The role would suit someone confident in their general practitioner skills and looking for a supportive and friendly team. The practice has strong relationships with surgical, breeding, and internal medicine specialists who are also on hand to assist with cases, either remotely or by visiting the practice.
