Development Manager / Senior Development Manager Location: Central London Salary: £95,000 - £100,000 25% discretionary bonus benefits A leading real estate development and investment company focused on creating high-quality, innovative spaces across the UK is recruiting an experienced Development Manager to join an established team. With a portfolio spanning hotels, Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), and large-scale regeneration projects, they own and operate all developments, ensuring excellence from concept to completion. The company is committed to expanding its portfolio, currently managing a significant number of hotel rooms, as well as plans to deliver a large amount of PBSA rooms by 2025. Key Responsibilities As a Development Manager, you will: Oversee the full lifecycle of development projects from concept to delivery, focusing on hotel and PBSA conversions and new builds. Manage and lead large-scale office-to-hotel conversion projects, 200 rooms plus per project. Coordinate across internal teams (development, project management, legal, commercial, planning) to ensure seamless project execution. Work closely with external consultants and contractors, including QS/EA professionals. Handle multiple projects simultaneously, with initial focus on hotels in the City of London, Camden and the North of England. Lead feasibility assessments, working closely with architects, planners, and other stakeholders. Engage with joint ventures or forward funding agreements following the planning phase. Report directly to the Development Director and collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and execution. About You Experience: 10 years’ experience in Development Management or Project Management, with a strong understanding of architectural processes and lifecycle project delivery. Sector Expertise: Prior experience in Hotels and/or PBSA development is essential. Project Exposure: Strong background in office-to-hotel conversions or similar large-scale projects. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the feasibility process, project planning, and the development life cycle. Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple large-scale projects. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise with both internal teams and external consultants/partners effectively. Interested?
