About the Role
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to join our safeguarding and pastoral team. This is a vital role supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring the welfare, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
You will act as a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns, referrals, and multi-agency work, while also providing pastoral support to help students achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the DSL in managing referrals to social care, police, and other agencies.
- Act as safeguarding lead in the DSL's absence.
- Maintain accurate records of welfare and child protection concerns.
- Raise awareness of safeguarding policies and ensure staff training needs are met.
- Contribute to Prevent Duty responsibilities, including risk assessments and staff training.
- Provide pastoral support, mentoring, and family liaison to help students thrive.
