Wellness Assistant
Location: Cherry Tree House, 49 Dobbins Lane, Wendover.
UK resident with a working visa required.
Responsibilities
* Wellness Programming: Follow and promote a wellness programme that encourages participation in activities that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. This includes hosting events, outings, and workshops that align with residents’ interests and promote new hobbies.
* Promote Autonomy and Independence: Support residents in making choices that reflect their personal wellness goals, ensuring they feel valued for their contributions to society, both past and present.
* Facilitate Meaningful Connections: Encourage intergenerational interactions and a sense of community, enhancing the well‑being of residents and their families while staying connected with the wider community.
* Person‑Centred: Use creativity to adapt and adjust your approach to suit each resident and achieve best outcomes for their health, happiness and overall wellbeing; ensure you get to know each individual personally, so you understand their needs, history and preferences, enabling you to deliver a truly person‑centred service.
* Monitor and Communicate Wellbeing: Actively monitor changes in residents’ physical and mental wellbeing, communicating any concerns to the care team to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
* Adherence to Professional Standards: Uphold the highest standards of care, ensuring compliance with Salveo Care policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Passion for Wellness: A genuine enthusiasm for promoting wellness and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.
* Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively and confidently with elderly residents, their families, and the care team.
* Creativity and Initiative: The ability to develop engaging and varied wellness activities, with the creativity to adapt to individual needs and preferences.
* Empathy and Compassion: A calm, caring personality with a deep understanding of the importance of holistic care.
* Experience and Training: While experience in a similar role is welcome, comprehensive training will be provided.

Contract type: Part‑time.
Salary: £13.45 to £15.45 per hour.
