Salary: GBP32,000 - GBP35,000 per annum.
We are seeking a technically strong Trust Accountant to join a busy finance team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a well‑established role and make an immediate impact.
This is a full‑time role requiring 35 hours per week with options to work from home, and includes excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities
* Frequent maintenance and monthly reconciliation of the ledgers.
* Month‑end reporting to the group and third‑party companies on monthly activity, including the provision of statements.
* Performing weekly and monthly cash reconciliations, payments, and analysis for clients.
* Preparing accurate and timely payments for intercompany transfers of funds.
* Sole ownership and management of client queries and requests related to the role.
* Performing daily sales ledger maintenance, including ledger clearances, journal postings, and internal and external ledger queries.
* Owning, structuring, and scheduling sales ledger related reports for both internal and external requirements.
* Maintaining daily sales ledger KPI’s to better understand other departmental requirements.
* Providing accurate and timely information for all related parties.
* Managing and scheduling the monthly ledger period close, ensuring accurate and timely completion without impacting other departments.
* Conducting monthly reconciliations of several client‑specific and web accounts, investigating and resolving any residual items.
* Preparing and reviewing monthly ageing decks.
* Supporting assessments to identify process improvements and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
* Part‑qualified, QBE, or equivalent.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, charts) with a history of redesign.
* Ability to effectively and professionally liaise with internal and external companies.
* Prior experience of fully owning an accounting role.
* Experience delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong technical accounting background, preferably with AR experience.
* Detail‑oriented, analytical, and proactive.
* Understanding and application of accounting principles with reasoning, not just process.
