We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Regional Civils team working on the prestigious Apollo Substation Project in Bridgwater. This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure that supports the nation’s energy network.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll lead the commercial management of a high‑profile civils project, ensuring value, efficiency, and quality at every stage. You’ll oversee cost control, subcontractor management, and forecasting while supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.
Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial aspects of the project, from procurement through to final accounts
* Drive value for money while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
* Provide accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management
* Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure smooth financial and operational delivery
* Mentor and support less experienced team members in their professional development
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, M&E, Power or any infrastructure projects
* Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Chartered (RICS, ICES, or CIOB) or working towards professional accreditation
* Hands‑on experience managing civils projects – ideally within the energy or utilities sector
