Overview and Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience in sales and operations to take on responsibility for our Fareham operation as Depot Director. You would be looking after a team of 44 employees, supported by on‑site Operations and Sales Manager.
The successful candidate will report directly to a Director on the Latham’s Limited board and will be supported by colleagues throughout the business. They will oversee all aspects of the site including budgeting and overheads, performance of sales and operations, and people management. They must be able to implement group policy in such things as health and safety, customer care, supply chain and developing employees in order to build a strong team and grow the business.
They will need to be pro‑active, confident and an excellent communicator. It is essential that they have the skills to lead a team and make decisions independently but seek advice appropriately.
The Fareham site is approximately 36,000 ft² purpose‑built facility located near the M27. It has excellent facilities that allow us to meet customer needs efficiently while providing employees with a safe, comfortable working environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in sales and operations is essential, with experience in a timber or related industry not required. Management experience is required.
