The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Director to lead all operations on site. This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing all aspects of site performance, including operational efficiency, safety, compliance, quality, environmental standards, and team leadership. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will develop and execute strategies to meet production targets, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a strong culture of safety and accountability. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all site operations to achieve business objectives and deliver on key performance indicators. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Drive operational excellence, identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency. Manage, mentor, and develop the site leadership team and wider workforce to create a high-performing, engaged, and safety-focused culture. Oversee financial performance of the site, including budget preparation, cost control, and capital investment planning. Act as a key representative of the business with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local authorities, and the community. About You Proven track record in a senior operations leadership role within a UK animal by-products rendering, processing, or a related industrial sector Strong knowledge of health & safety, environmental, and quality compliance standards. Demonstrated experience in driving operational improvement, managing budgets, and leading diverse teams. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels. Commercially astute and strategically minded, with a hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset.
