Your Role
Capgemini Financial Services is seeking a talented and experienced AWS Architect in Knutsford for a full‑time hybrid role.
* Design and implement largeCácscale distributed systems with a focus on resiliency, scalability, and observability
* Define cloud‑native strategies and architectures for enterprise applications; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Create technical design specifications, reference architectures and reusable patterns
* Drive adoption of donut the DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automation across teams
* Lead and mentor teams in Agile delivery models and ensure alignment with enterprise standards lifecycle
Core Responsibilities
* Cloud Platforms: AWS (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, Containers – EKS, Docker, Kubernetes) and Databases with strong expertise in PostgreSQL plus experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB)
* Infrastructure as Code; hands‑on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, micro‑services, containers and deep knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration andexploit containerized solutions
* DevOps Tools: Jenkins, GitLab and integration with various CI/CD tools
* Application Design: API‑first and event‑driven architectures and prior hands‑on experience with the Kafka ecosystem
* Observability Monitoring: Familiarity with tools for logging, metrics and tracing, especially ELK and observability tools
Additional Requirements
* Knowledge of data modelling best practices and Agile methodologies
* Experience with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence for project tracking_terminal and documentation
* Ability to own and drive projects end‑to‑end in an Agile environment
Good to Have
* Familiarity with ecosystem and platforms for faster onboarding
* Understanding of financial services domain, especially credit cards
* Knowledge of TOGAF principles and enterprise architecture frameworks
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate (preferred)
