Tasks
The Bid writer will lead and coordinate the end-to-end bid process for new business opportunities, ensuring that all proposals are compelling, compliant, and delivered on time. This role involves collaborating closely with sales, technical, finance, and legal teams to develop winning bids that meet client requirements and align with company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full lifecycle from funding opportunity identification to submission and post-bid review.
* Coordinate input from cross-functional teams (sales, technical, finance, legal, operations) to produce high-quality, compelling proposals.
* Ensure all bids comply with client requirements, internal policies, and deadlines.
* Maintain a bid library and templates to streamline future submissions.
* Lead bid review meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
* Track bid performance and provide regular reports on bid success rates and pipeline status.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to gather insights for future bids.
* Drive continuous improvement in bid processes and best practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bid writer or similar role.
* Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Familiarity with bid management software and CRM tools is an advantage.
* Industry knowledge related to Education/ Training would be an advantage but not essential.
