We currently have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Purchasing Coordinator role within Gencoa Ltd.
Role
Based at our offices in Speke, Liverpool, this is a part time role (22.5 hours per week), reporting into the Purchasing Manager.
The role involves the expediting and placing of purchase orders, sourcing and liaising with suppliers, negotiating pricing and providing administrative support to the Purchasing Manager.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience of working in an office environment.
Main responsibilities
· Expediting orders to meet deadlines.
· Purchasing a range of both, ‘off the shelf’ and manufactured component parts for use throughout the business.
· Working with international and local suppliers to ensure strong relationships are maintained.
· Using MRP (EMS) system to ensure deliveries are timely and quality/cost is monitored.
· Supporting the Purchasing Manager with the supplier appraisal process, tender negotiation and new supplier sourcing.
· Liaising with the Design, Workshop and R&D departments to ensure the timely supply of components, avoiding delays whilst holding minimal stock.
· Working with suppliers as well as the Design, Workshop and R&D departments to ensure that quality issues are resolved quickly.
· Checking supplier invoices against Purchase orders placed.
· Performing work within established procedures and quality records.
· Assisting in preparing reports and analysing data to improve efficiency.
· Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with the required Company standard and for promoting a product safety culture in the organisation.
Experience Required:
Qualifications
· A-level qualifications or equivalent
Experience
· A minimum of 1 years’ experience in an office environment
· Previous experience in customs documentation and accounting desirable
· Knowledge of export documentation and procedures desirable
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent telephone manner
· Ability to multitask and work in a busy environment
· Strong IT skills (including Microsoft office packages)
