Teacher (M1-M6)

Primary Learning Resource Centre

ALN Allowance

Permanent

From September 1st 2026

The Governors of Neyland Community School are seeking to appoint an experienced and Qualified Teacher to work within our new primary school Learning Resource Centre (LRC).

We are excited to be advertising for a staff member to join our caring and supportive LRC team. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a very new Learning Resource Centre.

The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the establishment of a team of highly motivated professionals who will work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to meet their potential. Specialist training will be made available.

Applicants must be an excellent classroom practitioner who:

Can effectively lead and develop specialist resource base programmes for children with complex ALN

Is able to differentiate and facilitate learning to the highest standards

Will build positive relationships with all learners, their families and the LRC team

Has the ability to create a supportive, welcoming, and well-ordered classroom environment

Has knowledge and understanding of the 2018 ALN reform and Code of Practice

Specialist education experience is desirable, as is the ability to foster positive working relationships to ensure the smooth operation of the LRC. The successful candidate will be highly motivated with high expectations for pupils' learning.

We can offer a warm, nurturing school community underpinned by a strong ethos and the support of a hardworking, committed team of staff and governors. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of and to shape the practice in our school.

Our most recent successful Estyn Inspection (March 2023) noted many strengths:

Neyland Community School is a place where pupils, staff and families feel welcomed and supported. A notable strength of the school is the strong caring ethos and the trust and respect between pupils and staff. School leaders have developed a positive culture of teamwork amongst the staff and the local community. The school provides a rich, broad and balanced range of learning experiences and additional provision.

At our school we talk about ‘going above and beyond’ and actively demonstrate this to our children, families and community. It is key that the successful applicant is part of this and demonstrates skills to actively become part of our positive and caring ethos whilst providing rich learning experiences to our pupils.

If you require further information about the role then please contact the Headteacher to arrange a visit.

Please also take a look at our school website and our Facebook Page to learn more about our effective school.
