Eco2 Management Services Ltd (EMSL) are looking for an Asset & HSE Lead to support two Low Carbon Farming energy centres near Norwich and Bury St Edmunds. This role is home-based, with regular site travel. You'll work closely with the General Manager and our Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Health & Safety and Finance teams to help keep the plants safe, compliant, reliable and commercially well run.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be a key part of the small management team delivering our client Management Services Agreement (MSA), supporting technical performance, statutory and environmental compliance, and driving improvement projects across both sites. You'll also act as a visible champion for health and safety – both on site and within EMSL more broadly.
Why work with us?
* You feel aligned with our Company Values:
o Trust: We trust each other and earn the trust of our clients. We are a safe pair of hands.
o Teamwork: We are there for one another and we work in partnership with our clients.
o Responsibility: We take ownership of tasks and challenges to find the right timely solution.
o Quality: We embrace robust systems and procedures to ensure a high quality, consistent service.
o Creativity: We adopt a developer's zeal, always seeking creative solutions that add value.
o We believe in flexible work that balances collaboration and focus time. The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and we'll agree a work pattern that works for you and the team. There is no expectation to work weekends.
o A salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum is on offer, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, annual bonus (dependent on performance), pension, private healthcare & dental, eye care, and access to our financial wellbeing platform with advisers, savings and discounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Be a driving force for health and safety on site. Promote, monitor and embed high H&S standards with all key stakeholders (client, growers, contractors, O&M teams and EMSL colleagues).
* Support day-to-day operations across both Low Carbon Farming sites, making sure activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with our contractual obligations, site agreements and statutory requirements.
* Take a hands-on role in managing permits, statutory and environmental compliance, record-keeping and reporting to regulators and the client, so that nothing falls between the gaps.
* Administer and track key site contracts and agreements (for example: O&M contracts, grower leases and energy offtake arrangements), helping to ensure we meet our obligations and raising risks early.
* Lead and coordinate incident reporting and investigation at site: capture what happened, support root-cause analysis, and make sure corrective and preventive actions are agreed, followed through and shared across the wider business.
* Work alongside EMSL's O&M and project teams on performance improvement, maintenance and upgrade projects, making sure that health and safety is built into planning and delivery from the start — not bolted on at the end.
* Build strong working relationships with stakeholders including the client, growers, landowners, local authorities, statutory bodies and contractors, acting as a reliable point of contact.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in EMSL's H&S systems and processes; help shape how we work, not just deliver it.
* Provide cover for the General Manager when needed to maintain business continuity.
* These responsibilities are about making sure the plants run safely, compliantly and reliably, and that the client gets a proactive, professional service.
Who you are
We're keen to hear from people who are comfortable working in a live operational environment, who take safety personally, and who like solving practical problems with a calm, methodical approach.
We'll be looking for:
* Experience in an industrial, process, utilities, renewable energy or similar operational environment.
* A strong background in health and safety within operational or project settings, with the confidence to set expectations and hold a line on safe working.
* Comfortable using IT systems, including H&S and project management tools, to keep records in good order. Excel and spreadsheet skills will also be required to support project reporting.
* The ability to organise, prioritise and track multiple moving parts across more than one site, without losing sight of detail.
* Clear, confident communication and stakeholder management — you can work constructively with O&M teams, contractors, the client, regulators and local partners.
* A professional, discreet and reliable approach, with high personal integrity.
* Willingness and ability to travel to Norwich and Bury St Edmunds on a regular (typically monthly) basis.
