FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To assist the Residences Management team in the clearing of accommodation following departures, undertaking room inventory checks, and assisting in the preparation of university accommodation for conferences and next academic session. You are expected to carry out all activities in positive manner and demonstrate consistent levels of enthusiasm and interest in your role. MAIN DUTIES To work with the various teams onsite, assisting in the clearing and preparation of university accommodation locations. To assist with delivery, movement, and placement of items throughout accommodation, carrying out manual handling duties as required. To use master keys / key cards in accordance with the procedures detailed by the Residences Management team. Under no circumstances should master keys / key cards be used outside hours of duty, and whilst on duty staff should securely maintain the possession of keys / key cards at all times. To carry out room inventory checks identify and accurately report missing items and maintenance issues. To assist the housekeeping and maintenance teams with the preparation of rooms for arrivals. You are expected to comply with all health, safety and environmental instructions, guidelines, and procedures, being aware of and controlling hazards as appropriate and raising any health and safety concerns with the Residences team. To work in different accommodation areas as required. You are expected to attend work during the days and hours stated in your work schedule. You are expected to be punctual at all times and should a situation arise where you anticipate being late, you must advise the Residences Management team. You may be asked to perform other duties occasionally which are not included above, but which will be consistent with the role. Person Specification ESSENTIAL Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment. Excellent communication / interpersonal skills. Ability to follow procedures. Ability to use initiative. DESIRABLE Experience of working in an accommodation setting / or hospitality / corporate / customer service environment. Application Process: 1.
