The Role The caseload will include a broad mix of commercial property work, including: Buying and selling freehold and leasehold commercial premises Advising landlords and tenants on new leases and lease renewals, including Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matters Drafting and advising on lease management documentation, including licences to assign, sublet and alter General commercial landlord and tenant matters Acquisition of commercial investment properties Sale and purchase of properties at auction Acquisition of land and premises for future development Commercial property finance matters Some exposure to agricultural property matters would be advantageous Some experience dealing with transfers of businesses as a going concern would be beneficial, although not essential The role will also involve: Managing files in accordance with the firm’s risk management procedures Maintaining strong financial and billing control on matters Supervising and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate Assisting with departmental marketing and business development activities Supporting colleagues across the wider team during busy periods Working within a collaborative, open-door team culture The Candidate To be considered, you will: Be a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent Have a minimum of 2 years’ PQE within commercial property Have trained in or possess a working knowledge of residential conveyancing Be capable of managing your own caseload with minimal supervision Have strong technical, organisational and client management skills Be confident using practice and case management systems Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Enjoy working within a friendly and team-oriented environment Salary & Benefits The firm offers an excellent salary and benefits package, alongside high-quality work and genuine long-term career prospects within a respected regional practice.
