Calibration Technician

We're looking for a hands-on Calibration Technician to carry out high-quality testing, calibration, and repairs of instruments and components—both in-house and on-site. If you're detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
* Carry out safe, efficient and compliant calibration of equipment and inspection services at customer sites and in accordance with the quality management system.
* Ensure that all systems, processes, and methods of work conforms to and is carried out in accordance with the detail provided in the Quality Manual and all relevant company procedures.
* Accurately record of job information at different stages of the calibration process in accordance with Quality system requirements.
* Submit clear, concise, and timely reports, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
* Understand and respond to the business needs of customers, adapting to various environments and complying with local safety regulations and company quality standards.
* Ensure correct and calibrated equipment is allocated for each job.
* Liaise effectively with internal departments and external suppliers.
* Train and mentor Trainee Technicians.
* Continuously develop product knowledge across a diverse range of brands and instruments.
* Assist with quoting and costing of calibration, inspection, and testing services.
* Analyse data, trends, and objectives to support the achievement of business production and quality goals.
* Provide high-level communication using email, phone, and other technologies to enhance customer and supplier experience.
* Work within other areas of the business when required during periods of absent onsite activity.
* Be willing to work flexible hours to ensure job completion.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in the inspection, repair and calibration of technical instrumentation, components and measuring devices and equipment within a relevant field.
* Proven relevant experience in a field service role is desirable.
* Ability to understand technical data.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with a proactive mindset.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* IT literate and experienced user of Microsoft Office products
