Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in a vibrant authentic Indian restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
* Supervise kitchen staff and assist with training and development
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Help with menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to create special dishes or events as required.

Skills
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen team.
* Proficient in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations within a restaurant environment.
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to supervise effectively under pressure.
* Experience in food production within a fast-paced kitchen setting is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food service.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary.
* Leadership qualities to support the Head Chef in daily operations
* Must have in experience in an authentic Indian kitchen
