Role Overview

This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. Records Services Manager

The Records Services Manager is responsible and accountable for overall Records Management (Corporate and Health Records) for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and Cornwall Foundation NHS Trust. The post holder will direct the overall management and planning of this department, review, update and implement service documents, and ensure compliance across the Trust. The postholder will provide leadership and expert advice on records management across the Trust, and will play a key role in the transition from paper‑based records to electronic records as part of the eNotes programme.

Organisational Context

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It serves a population of around 500,000 people, employs approximately 6,700 staff and operates with a budget of approximately £580 million. The Trust partners with the University of Exeter Medical School, the University of Plymouth School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Peninsula Dental School, and is a research‑active organisation.
