Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to join our Direct Marketing Department at Logical Utilities. Based full-time at our Imperial Square office in Cheltenham, this permanent role offers a competitive basic salary with uncapped commission. The role focuses on creating, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities through proactive outreach and research. You will play a key role in starting meaningful energy conversations with prospective clients, supporting the wider commercial function, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented working environment.

Role Responsibilities
Proactively generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound activity and research.
Identify and engage prospective clients using telephone, LinkedIn, email, and other digital channels.
Research potential client opportunities using LinkedIn, media, press, and sector insight.
Develop and nurture professional relationships with prospective clients, building familiarity and trust.
Accurately capture and maintain opportunity data within CRM systems.
Work closely with the wider the Head of Department, the team and Sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing insight, feedback, and best practice.
Work towards realistic and achievable performance targets aligned with team and business objectives.
Requirements and Skills
Previous experience in a sales, business development, or target-driven commercial environment.
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing daily activity targets.
Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient, with a positive attitude towards learning and development.
