The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we seek a professionally qualified, technical advisory services consultant to work on projects in the District Heating and Power Generation sectors across the UK and Europe (global experience beneficial). The candidate should have knowledge of:
* District heating and cooling networks and energy centres
* Thermal power generation including Energy from Waste and Biomass
* Renewable and emerging technologies such as:
o Ground Source, Water Source, and Air Source Heat Pumps
o Biomass Heat Only Boilers
o Anaerobic Digestion (biogas and biomethane production)
* Energy services businesses including:
o Metering
o Energy as a service (providing heating, electricity, steam, or cooling to commercial or industrial sites)
The ideal candidate will have an engineering or consultancy background and experience in technical due diligence services like buyside or sell-side, lenders' advisory, Owners Engineer, or technical asset management.
You will join an established, growing, award-winning advisory team of around 150 members based in the UK, working on diverse UK and international projects in Urban Energy and Energy Transition sectors, ranging from small distributed assets to large multi-utility portfolios.
Responsibilities include advising clients on technical and operational aspects during acquisitions, leading projects and teams, reviewing technical specifications, evaluating tenders, reviewing contracts, and liaising with specialists to mitigate risks.
