Job Title: Working Foreman

About the Role:
We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Working Foreman to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will lead and work alongside site operatives on a variety of residential and commercial projects, with a strong emphasis on structural alterations, groundworks, and underpinning.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can manage teams on site while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead site teams on structural alteration and groundwork projects
*
Undertake and oversee tasks such as underpinning, drainage, foundation works, and concrete pours
*
Liaise with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to drawings and specifications
*
Ensure compliance with site health & safety procedures and carry out site inductions/toolbox talks
*
Monitor progress and report on daily activities
*
Coordinate materials, plant, and labour effectively
*
Read and interpret construction drawings and set out work as required
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Working Foreman on structural and groundwork projects
*
Strong knowledge of underpinning techniques, temporary works, and structural propping
*
Hands-on, practical construction skills
*
Ability to read drawings and work with minimal supervision
*
CSCS Card (Gold or above preferred)
*
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (preferred)
*
First Aid at Work certification (preferred)
*
Full UK driving licence
