Assistant Accountant
Whytematter are delighted to again be recruiting for one of our top client's growing team.
Due to continued growth and recent new contracts, they are looking to add to our already brilliant team and recruit a Assistant Accountant to be part of the accounting function across our Group of Companies.
-37.5 hours per week
-9am- 5pm
-Office based in Mallusk
-Salary £29K
As a key member of the team, in this dynamic and fast-growing organisation, this role requires an individual to be able to multitask and prioritise workload. The successful candidate will report to the Management Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and posting of journals at month end, including accruals and prepayments.
· Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
· Bank reconciliations.
· Balance sheet reconciliations.
· Preparation of VAT returns.
· Preparation and submission of CIS returns.
· Assist with reporting on contract performance for management accounts.
· Analysis and posting of employee expenses.
· Assist in the preparation of year end audit files for the company.
· Undertaking a variety of administrative tasks.
· Undertake any reasonable duties as requested by management.
Person Specification
· Accounting Technician, recently qualified or part qualified.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Excellent planning and organisational skills.
· Excellent numerical skill and attention to detail.
· Capacity to work independently with limited supervision.
· To be flexible and work as part of a team.
· Experience of CIS would be an advantage.
· Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting position
