Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and proactive Healthcare Navigator/Telephonist/Administrator to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be committed to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
1. Follow practice protocols regarding appointments, calls, messages, home visits, and prescriptions.
2. Handle patient interactions with sensitivity and high customer service standards.
3. Answer phones promptly and courteously within practice protocols.
4. Manage appointment scheduling, modifications, and cancellations, considering clinical team needs.
5. Guide patients within the practice and monitor clinic delays to inform patients.
6. Inform patients about payments for non-NHS services and process payments accurately.
7. Perform photocopying as needed.
8. Register patients correctly, including paperwork and computer records, for new babies, full registrations, and temporary residents.
9. Handle prescription requests following practice protocols.
10. Ensure messages are appropriately recorded, accurate, and passed on or dealt with promptly.
Additional Information
This is a temporary, entry-level position at Corner Place Surgery, a well-established practice serving nearly 16,000 patients in Paignton. The team comprises experienced clinicians and a supportive administrative staff dedicated to high-quality care and sustainable working conditions.
