Static Stress Engineer - Airbus Filton Location: Filton - minimum 60% on-site Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm) Hourly Rate: £39.30 PAYE | £52.57 Umbrella Security Clearance: BPSS (handled by Airbus Security) IR35 Status: Inside ✈️ About the Role We're on the lookout for a talented Static Stress Engineer to join the Wing Structures team at Airbus in Filton. You'll be at the heart of stress analysis activities, contributing to design improvements, risk assessments, and certification dossiers. What You'll Be Doing Performing static stress analysis on fixed-wing structures using Airbus PMTs Supporting trade studies and impact assessments for design improvements Compiling and reviewing certification dossiers (composite and metallic) Conducting risk assessments for in-service occurrences Collaborating closely with Wing teams and reporting to the Delivery Team Leader Providing updates to the Senior/Lead Stress Engineer on work package progress What We're Looking For Essential Skills: Strong experience in aerospace stress analysis Previous experience working within Airbus Hands-on expertise in airframe certification and in-service analysis Problem-solving mindset with a focus on analytical solutions Ability to meet delivery milestones and communicate progress effectivelyDesirable Skills: Degree in Engineering or related discipline Delegated signatory status (or close to achieving it) Proficiency in Nastran, Hyperworks, Python scripting, and ISAMI Familiarity with Airbus tools and working practices Experience with Airbus wing structures Why Join Us?
