Maintenance Estimator/Pricing Modellor - Salford Quays / Hybrid working available
Due to an extraordinary period of growth, Marlowe Fire & Security is seeking a focused and enthusiastic individual with strong attention to detail to support the completion of major bid opportunities and sales proposals.
The Maintenance Estimator/Pricing Modeller will play a critical role in shaping our commercial success by creating precise and competitive pricing for Fire & Security maintenance contracts, including end-user contracts and framework agreements with facility management companies.
Main Responsibilities
1. Analyze costs, forecast profitability, and collaborate with internal teams to prepare comprehensive pricing proposals.
2. Develop robust pricing models incorporating labour, materials, subcontractor costs, compliance, and overheads.
3. Use advanced Excel techniques for detailed estimates and summaries.
4. Collaborate with Sales, Bids, Operations, and Procurement teams to gather necessary information and validate schedules and workforce planning.
5. Customize proposals for clients, address queries, and support negotiations.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and market rates to ensure competitive pricing.
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain organized records.
8. Prepare reports on cost breakdowns, profit margins, and risk assessments for internal review.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to developing estimation tools and best practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience in estimating, pricing, or financial modelling within Fire & Security, facilities management, or similar industries.
* Strong understanding of maintenance services, frameworks, and compliance standards.
* Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and estimation tools is advantageous.
* Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
* Analytical mindset and strong communication skills.
* Higher Education qualification or equivalent preferred; experience in bid management roles is a plus.
