An exciting and new opportunity has arisen at Brayton Academy. We are looking to appoint a Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer, to join our committed and dynamic team. The Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer will be the first point of contact for staff members for all Safeguarding concerns. They will be supported by the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in leading and managing safeguarding and child protection practice across the Academy, helping to ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students in the Academy. Responsible for co-ordinating referrals to social care, attending and contributing reports for relevant meetings and keeping careful records of actions. Working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead in developing and delivering training to school staff and updating relevant policies, procedures and guidance as necessary. Reviewing and monitoring CPOMS for the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and taking a safeguarding lead throughout the day is a key priority of the role, along with organising/preparing paperwork for and following meetings.

Excellent communication and organisation skills, a meticulous attention to detail and a pro-active attitude to problem solving are essential.

Brayton Academy has been 'Outstanding' for a number of years and our most recent inspection has confirmed this remains the case. The key reasons for this are our students' exemplary behaviour and excellent attitudes to learning, an exceptional teaching team, a genuine commitment to staff welfare underpinned by our unique coaching model and a visible and supportive Leadership Team. This enables students to make substantial progress which places us in the top 100 schools in England. This truly is an excellent time to join our thriving academy.

Brayton Academy is proud to be part of Resilience Multi Academy Trust. Our core values of Resilience, Aspiration and Empowerment, alongside well-established systems and processes such as Positive Discipline, Coaching and an expert curriculum has helped to transform our schools – as well as the lives of students and teachers.

This role provides a real opportunity for you to make your mark, and as a growing Trust with an excellent reputation and access to high-quality CPD for all, there are always opportunities for career development.
