Job Description:
Location: Banbury / Travelling
Live Wire has worked across Formula 1 for the past 10 years, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work includes constructing viewer experiences in hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, elevating each of the 24 races annually. We collaborate with suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into our projects.
We provide AV technology for various events such as Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance. Our clients include large venues in London like Southbank Centre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells, where we supply technicians, support, and equipment.
We are seeking AV technicians to join our travelling team, working with clients like Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Using cutting-edge equipment, technicians will handle diverse events, including driver interviews, hospitality entertainment, live race commentary, and pit links. The role requires working under pressure to exceed client expectations and continuously improve equipment, events, and team performance.
Responsibilities include maintaining equipment meticulously, participating in packing procedures for safe shipping, ongoing maintenance during the season, and addressing damages or repairs promptly.
Technicians must write detailed race reports, providing insights into build, scheduling, equipment use, and sustainability tracking after each event. Timely reporting and distribution to relevant parties are essential.
We value technicians who can mentor junior team members, fostering confidence in event setup and operation, and who work collaboratively with operations, production, project, and finance teams to ensure seamless race delivery and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time role requiring a commitment to the position.
Responsibilities:
* Operate high-profile shows alongside world-class drivers and musicians.
* Create comprehensive production schedules and equipment lists for clients and crew.
* Write debriefs for management and clients post-event, highlighting action points and improvement ideas.
* Maintain equipment, report damages, and take corrective actions.
* Manage time effectively and work independently.
* Build and maintain positive client relationships.
* Communicate effectively with the team on-site and in the UK.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in event management across various demands.
* Specialization in lighting, sound, or AV, with the confidence to oversee all project aspects.
